Hiking & Swimming

Bathing is possible on the main beach, where a brilliantly blue sea awaits your pleasure.

On the south side of the bay bamboo huts provide shade and a magnificent view over Unije and the opportunity of unselfconscious nude bathing.

West of the town a path leads to the nude bathing area with rock and pebble inlets.

Hiking paths lead from the town in all directions, with lovely views on the way (see map below). Experience pure nature in the middle of the Adriatic and breathe in the heady air. The high island plateau is overgrown with salvia, cistus, laurel, lavender, rosemary and thyme. Especially in April the air is rich with fresh herbal aromas.

Enjoy fantastic views of the sea and neighbouring islands from the hilltops. You will be enraptured by the unique play of colours and memories of this backdrop will remain your favourite souvenir. October is a particularly enjoyable time for long rambles in a peaceful atmosphere.
